Fault Line

This 8-way book match was made from a huge Douglas Fir tree that had found it’s way to NYC and was used to build two huge 12-foot long benches in the FaceBook Corporate office.  I was able to take the remaining few feet and salvage it into a beautiful piece of art.  It was made by taking 1-inch slices off the end of the beam and bookmatching them so that it made an 8-way reflection.  The natural cracks are filled with red and black epoxy to add stability and style to the piece.  This would look good on any wall or above a fire place in a dining room or family room.

If you like this piece, check out the “Asian Fusion” table as it was created from the same piece of wood.  The two pieces complement each other nicely.  Discounts can be made if both are bought together.
